What is the 10 in 10 Challenge?
The 10 in 10 Challenge is writing 10 chapters within a 10 day span. Once the 10 days are up, those who survived will be entered into the 10 in 10 Awards for your efforts.
How does it work?
For those that are interested in participating, you must sign up for the challenge using the Sign Up link above. You must follow all the rules!! Once the writing period is over the awards section will begin and people will be able to vote for you story.
Rules:
1. All writing MUST be done in the 10 alloted days. Brainstorming, pre-planning, etc. are all acceptable before hand (and encouraged) but all actual writing must be done in the 10 days.
2. You DO NOT have to write one chapter per day. The goal is just to have 10 chapters in by the end of 10 days. However fast or slow you need to write them is up to you. There is no limit on how long the chapters must be.
3. You MUST be able to host your own story and the story MUST be posted as you write it. All 10 chapters MUST be posted by 11/11/08 the dat after the challenge ends. (The reason for this is so that people can start reading the stories for the awards part.)
4. You CAN vote even if you didn't participate in the challenge.
5. Stories MUST fit into one (or more) of the following categories:
- Best Hanson as a main character
- Best female main character
- Best Hanson supporting character
- Best female supporting character
- Best original plot line
- Best timeless plot line (a plot line that is used over and over again, but written well)
- Best AU fic
- Best canon fic
6. Stories DO NOT have to be completed within the 10 chapters, however there must be enough of the plot revealed that people can vote for it.
